Leeds Festival is one of the major events in the UK during festival season – 2011 is no exception with some great headlining and support acts, potentially making this years offering of Leeds Festival one of the best ever.
The Mouthwatering list of acts confirmed across the August bank holiday weekend include: Friday 26th August, ‘Muse’ – who are an English rockband currently making big waves in the music industry, also you can expect to see ‘Elbow’, ‘Interpol’, ‘Friendly Fires and ‘The View’ to name but a few. Saturday 27th August will see on the main stage acts such as the legendary ‘My Chemical Romance’, ‘Thirty Seconds to Mars’, and ‘Bring me the Horizon’. The three day event will conclude late on Sunday 28th August with the brilliant ‘Pulp’, ‘The National’ and ‘The Pigeon Detectives’
There will be several stages in addition to the main stage, Radio 1/NME will have a presence, there is also the ‘Lock up stage’, ‘Dance stage, ‘Festival Republic stage’ and the ‘Alternative Stage’
As well as the confirmed line-up, Leeds Festival will have some excellent facilities and entertainment to keep you occupied while waiting for your favourite band to hit the stage. You could check out the Cinema tent, Village shop, merchandise stalls or perhaps you could spin some tunes in one of the campsite DJ areas.
Usual facilities include free showers, toilets, bars and food vans. Camping is recommended for anyone staying for the duration and there are several options to choose from including a quiet campsite, simply ask for the ‘Brown’ camping area on arrival.
